Who We Are
Columbia United Providers, Inc. (CUP) is a local health plan founded on the idea that Clark County physicians and hospitals could team up and coordinate care closer to home. We wanted insurance that worked—so we built it from scratch.
Since 1994, we’ve dedicated ourselves to building the best network of health care providers in Clark County. We do this by forming relationships. The way we see it, you deserve friendly, personal service and a wide choice of doctors that care about your well-being and about this community. We also think health insurance should be easier to understand (yes. we said it). So we're working on it. Oh, and if you have a question, we're just down the road in Camas. Give us a call.
Who We Serve
CUP is proud to participate in the State of Washington's Apple Health program and the individual marketplace on the Washington Health Benefit Exchange. We currently serve over 53,000 members of all ages through an extensive participating provider network. Throughout all our lines of business, our focus is on the local community that we serve.
What We Do
CUP serves the Clark County community through several lines of business. Since 1994, CUP has provide care to the community's most vulnerable populations through the state Medicaid program. Beginning in 2015, CUP expanded into the commercial market on the Washington Health Benefit Exchange with our "Summit" plans.
We also provide utilization management, member services, disease and case management, quality assurance, and claims payment services. From self-insured employer health plans to medical groups participating in risk contracts, we work together to provide solutions that foster healthier communities.
Board of Directors
CUP is governed by a Board of Directors, which includes medical providers from our local community as well as other community members. Our Board is comprised of a diverse group of leaders with the medical and business expertise to help us best meet the needs of the members and organizations that we serve.
