Clinical Practice Guidelines
Clinical Practice Guidelines are an integral part of Columbia United Providers (CUP) programs to manage chronic and high-risk conditions. Practice guidelines have been shown to reduce undesirable variation in the process and outcome of care. All CUP guidelines are evidence-based and adopted from recognized, authoritative professional medical associations. These guidelines are designed to assist the clinician in the management of specific conditions and are not intended to replace a clinician's judgment or establish a protocol for all patients.
